Burn Permit Season has begun

🔥🌲 Hey Cordova! It’s officially “Burn Permit” season! 🌲🔥
Starting April 1st, Alaska enters burn permit season — and yes, that means before you fire up that burn barrel or brush pile, you’ll need a permit!
Get your permits here: https://dnr.alaska.gov/burn/
Extrication tools

Through the State DOT “Be Safe” program, the Cordova Volunteer Fire Department was awarded a full complement of extrication tools via the Alaska EMS Extrication Tools Assistance Project. These modern tools significantly reduce vehicle extrication times and improve operational efficiency by requiring fewer personnel to effectively perform rescue operations.
ETT Class has Concluded

Congratulations to our members who have successfully completed the Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) course. This achievement marks a significant investment in our department’s medical capabilities, strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality patient care and improving outcomes for our community.
